kaya pomeh Adult Education

Kaya Pomeh Adult Education offers Academic upgrading for students aged 21 and over. We offer programming for high school completion and/or post secondary attainment. Our programming specifically focuses on students earning one of the following:

Alberta High School Diploma
Alberta Certificate of Achievement
Achievement of prerequisites for post secondary entrance

Our strong nehiyaw identity is at the core of our programming which is foundational to our holistic approach in supporting students. Our program offers Breakfast and Lunch, learning accommodations for a variety of abilities, and a designated parent area for our students with small children. Our program is also located in Mamowicitowin, where our students can easily access social services such as the food bank, client services or Enoch Training and Development.

Our program will foster an environment to nurture individuals academically, socially, and emotionally so that they are equipped to tackle academic challenges and become contributing members of society.

Vision Statement

We have adopted the vision statement “DREAM, BELIEVE, ACHIEVE” for our students. We hope to embody this by providing a high-quality education that includes a balance of curriculum as well as nehiyaw pimatsiwin (a Cree way of living and being) for all students. It is our hope to help our students succeed today so they are prepared for tomorrow.
